Presentation Honors 2009
Presentation alumnae who have made significant contributions to their
communities were honored in the Second Annual Presentation Honors, January 18,
2009.
According to Sister Pam Chiesa, PBVM, President of the Sisters of the
Presentation (San Francisco), “The women we honor represent thousands of
Presentation graduates who not only received a Presentation education, but
treasured it and understood its inherent challenge: to model in their lives the
values instilled in them by the Sisters of the Presentation.” This education
“strives to empower not just the mind but the soul of its students. It is an
education rooted in a faith community striving to educate the whole person and
it sends forth its graduates, not just to succeed, but to serve others.”
Honorees for 2009 are:

Susan Leal, Presentation High School, San Francisco, Class of 1967,
for her spirit of service and commitment to the community, including
her civic service as a San Francisco City and County Supervisor,
Treasurer of the City and County of San Francisco, and her most
recent civic service as General Manager of the San Francisco Public
Utilities Commission. |
