We as Presentation Associates stand in partnership with the Sisters of the Presentation who share in the charism of their foundress, Nano Nagle. We reach out in faith, in a spirit of hospitality, compassion and simplicity to all of creation.

The cry of those made poor and the cry of the earth call us to continue the mission of Jesus to bring forth a sustainable society founded on respect for the earth, universal human rights, economic justice and a culture of peace.

We, too, commit ourselves as Presentation women and men to deepen our passion for those made poor and for all of creation. In our work for justice, we nurture a contemplative stance in keeping with our Presentation identity. Further, we commit ourselves to strengthen the quality of our relationship to and partnership with other Presentation women and men to further Nano’s vision.

We recognize the diversity of our Associates in regards to geographical, physical and time limitations.

To these ends, and in a spirit of gratitude, Associates are expected to contribute to Presentation ministries in at least one of the following ways:

• Prayer
• Service
• Financial support

Associates are expected to have a peace/justice/creation focus in at least one of the following ways:

• Through education
• Service in a related ministry
• Prayer
• Financial support
• Political action

Enhancing the Associate’s prayer life will be a common prayer, the Magnificat. We encourage Associates to pray this daily.

Associates are expected to participate in Presentation Community Life in one or more of the following ways:

• Meetings/social events
• Congregational Committees
• Primary Groups
• Community Days of Prayer/Retreats
• Correspondence with other Presentation women and men.

Associates will conduct a yearly self-evaluation of their progress in fulfilling the above expectations with a member of the Presentation Community of their choice.
